- To give an overall understanding of the building product model develoment in an ICT and historic perspective

This 2 module PE (program unit) course is placed during semester 4 of the Aalborg University
open Master of IT education.

- History of computer based building process models and systems.
- Barriers for development.
- Current ICT computer aided design applications and systems for the
- construction industry.
- Time dependent building product models
- Building model checker tools
- Middelware for building process applications
- Modelling and visualization tools.
- The Virtual building site IT support
- Properties of the Virtual Building.
- Conceptual descriptions of Virtual Buildings.
- Product model classification schemes. (STEP, IFC, EDIFACT, ISO layers, BSAB,..). Process classification.

Examination:

- The project unit is evaluated through oral examination with external censor. Individual characters according to the 13-scale.
